The surroundings of Hotel Stad en Land
With the train station across the street and the historical city center of Alkmaar just around the corner, Hotel Stad en Land is the perfect base for exploring Noord-Holland.

Get in the car or on the bike and explore the beautiful Dutch coast. Take a walk on the beach in Egmond, Bergen or Schoorl. Also, the Dutch ‘polder’ landscapes are definitely worth a visit.
Go back in time by visiting Zaanse Schans. You’ll see traditional windmills, warehouses and workshops from the 18th and 19th century. Or take a visit to the Broekerveiling, an original auction house. You’ll find both in less than a half hour from Hotel Stad en Land.
